Amy Reamer, LMFT, RPT-S is the founder of Heart & Mind Therapy, the creator of CoRegulate Media, and a founding leader of the Center for Resilient Beginnings. She is passionate about supporting children, families, and professionals in healing from past hurts through research-informed, evidence-based practices grounded in the latest neuroscience.
Amy brings extensive clinical and teaching experience to her work, with specialties in attachment, Polyvagal Theory, developmental trauma, and developmental disabilities. A self-proclaimed “brain geek,” she is known for translating complex neuroscience into practical, engaging tools that foster regulation, connection, and healing—particularly in the context of early trauma or neglect.
Amy is the author of Toby the Tiger Tamer and the developer of the Tame Your Tiger™ framework and resources. She was honored as the 2021 Play Therapist of the Year for the state of Virginia and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Infant and Early Childhood Development.
